EYELID SURGERY BLEPHAROPLASTY

Blepharoplasty is a type of surgery that is used to repair droopy eyelids and also it may involve removing excess of skin and muscle. As you get older, your eyelids stretch and the muscles supporting them get weaker. As a result, excess fat may gather above and below your eyelids and it causes sagging eyebrows, droopy upper lids and bags under your eyes.

Apart from making you look older, severely sagging skin around your eyes can reduce your side vision (peripheral vision), specially the upper and outer parts of your field of vision. Blepharoplasty can reduce and eliminate these vision problems and make your eyes appear younger and more noticeable.

If you have surgery on your upper and lower eyelids, our surgeon generally works on your upper lids first, cuts along the fold of the eyelid, removes some excess skin, muscle and possible fat, and closes the cut.

The preference rate of upper eyelid surgery is the most common. Secondly the rate of the patients want to receive both upper and lower eyelid operations at the same time is around %30 and it can be completed in 2 hours by our surgeons, laslty the preference rate of lower eyelid operation is the least around %10.

This upper or lower lid operations are completed in 60 minutes separately by our professional surgeons.

On the lower lid, our surgeon makes a cut just below the lashes in your eye’s natural crease or inside the lower lid, removes or redistributes excess fat, muscle and sagging skin, and closes the cut.
